PERFOMANCE IN GENERAL STANDARDS OF LIVING

The RPF-Inkotanyi Party believes that the general citizen is the basis of all economic activity in the country.

Civil Service

  • To empower the government media centre to constantly provide information on jobs.

  • To lay strategies to cut down on unemployment.

  • To increase the minimum wage (SMIG) in line with the cost of living.

   Health & Population Growth

To deliver better quality healthcare to all Rwandans by educating them in on the benefits of family planning, good nutrition, and cleanliness in general.

  • To further increase the number of hospitals and other healthcare centres around the country, support their capabilities to deliver services

  • To empower health workers to perform better.

  • To support efforts in fighting epidemic diseases.

  • To consolidate the operations of the national medical insurance scheme.

  Savings

To deliver to all Rwandans various saving schemes as one of the pillars of development, equality, as well as respect for human rights.

To speed up the implementation of a national policy on savings.

  • To support and fight for the rights of those who have retired workers so they can remain their schemes.

  To take care of Poor

To continue to take good care of those who cannot support themselves. They will be catered for so they can live with the general Rwandan society and where possible financial support will be offered to help them carry out jobs so they can fit in the communities around them.

  • To make it easy for disabled persons to move freely and to reach out to organisations that make prosthetic products that ease their movement.

  • To plan for and implement programmes that discourage destitute children from roaming the streets and to take care of children who have been abandoned on those streets.

  Entertainment & Sports

To continue to give Rwandans a platform to nurture skills and talent through sports, so that the body remains healthy some they can participate in both internally and international competitions.

  • To build new stadia;

  • To make it easy for entrepreneurs’ to enter in to work in partnership with the Government to promote sports.

  • To continue to train workers involved in sports development (health, security, media and others.

  Housing

  • To follow up on the housing policy in estates and in urban centres and ensure this policy is fully implemented;

  • To accomplish the planning process of all cities and towns and registration of land titles.

  Education and Science in literacy and Research

  • To extend the education system from the current 9 years to 12 years of primary school, with emphasis on institutions that teach vocational skills.

  • To focus on teaching of language and Rwanda culture at all levels of education;

  • To establish teaching institutions for nursery schools and schools for the disabled in TTCs, COEs and KIE;

  • To improve the welfare and livelihood of teachers.

  • To promote research in various levels of education and establishment of a Research Fund.

  Culture

  • To further promote Rwanda’s cultural heritage, base on our traditional values as a pillar of development.

  • To promote Rwanda culture, especially through education and Itorero (or the traditional training centre of excellence); 

  • To set up working plans for institutions that promote culture and history of the country as well as cultural tourism.

  • To construct a building that will house the National Archives.
